Regional Training Peace and Security
The National Defence Academy of Georgia hosted four-day training-module "Peace and Security", financed by the EU Erasmus+. In Georgia the training was organised by the professors of Georgian and foreign universities.
The training-module was held for the third and fourth year Junkers of the Defence and Security Bachelor Programme of the National Defence Academy. The training focused on the main topics of Defence and Security, including role of nationalism, the international conflicts, the negotiation of disarmament and demobilization, war concepts, the practice of peacekeeping operations and the history of the Caucasus conflicts.
The purpose of this project is to facilitate the development of peace and conflict scientific discipline in Georgia and the integration of Georgian scientists in the global community of peace and conflict researchers. In addition, it is important to raise Junkers’ awareness regarding these topics.
