Junior Reserve Officer Voluntary Military Training Program

This program is available to Georgian citizens under the age of 30 who are either active students in their 3rd or 4th year at an accredited higher education institution or individuals who hold a bachelor's degree. Participants can join the program regardless of their military service classification.

The educational process at the National Defence Academy, in accordance with the Defence Code of Georgia, will last for two years. The study schedule is designed to align with civilian institution timetables, featuring lectures on Military Science conducted on Saturdays and Sundays. Specifically, there will be a total of 3 Saturdays and 57 Sundays dedicated to these lectures, all held at the Academy.

Additionally, the practical component, which includes field training, will also take place on Saturdays and Sundays, amounting to 8 Saturdays and 14 Sundays. This practical training consists of two field exercises, each lasting two weeks.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants with military obligations will be deemed to have fulfilled their national military service. Those with a higher education degree will be awarded the military rank of "Lieutenant," while those without a degree will receive the rank of "Junior Sergeant." Furthermore, Junior Sergeants who obtain a bachelor's degree within five years of completing the program will be promoted to the rank of "Lieutenant" before reaching the age of 35.

During the study period, individuals enrolled in the program will receive a scholarship, health insurance, meals, and personal property.
