From February 17 to February 21, the National Defense Academy hosted the Language Standards and Assessment Seminar for English language teachers and program managers in the Language Training Department of the Baccalaureate with the support of the Bureau for International Language Coordination of NATO (BILC) and the Partner Language Training Center Europe.
The workshop provided a detailed discussion of all four language competencies by levels of STANAG 6001. The participants got acquainted with the instructions of language training under NATO standards, as well as the principles of compiling the test and the standards of reliability of current assessments.
The goal of the Bureau for International Language Coordination of NATO is to develop cooperation between NATO and PfP countries, to provide professional assistance in the field of language proficiency, language teaching and language testing.
