The Junkers and recruits of the National Defence Academy have taken an oath of enlistment

The first-year Junkers of the Junker Training Battalion of the National Defence Academy and the graduates of the Basic Combat Training Course of the Junior Officers Training School have taken the oath of enlistment. The oath taking ceremony was held on the territory of the Uplistsikhe Museum-Reserve. After the performance of the national anthem, the Junkers, recruits and invited guests observed a minute of silence in memory of the military servicemen who died in the line of duty. The Rector of the National Defence Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze congratulated the graduates on the important day of taking the oath.    

The five-week Basic Combat Training Course, which was successfully taken by the first-year Junkers and recruits of the Junior Officers Training School, encompassed theoretical and practical exercises. During the training period, the graduates have studied combined arms tactics, army regulations, drill and ceremonies, first aid and other military disciplines.
