Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, the Rector of the National Defence Academy, paid a working visit to the College of the Norwegian Defence University with some other staff members of the Academy from February 12th to 16th, 2024. The Academy has a close cooperation with the College, which includes exchange programs and the development of distance learning.
The working visit of the Rector of the Academy to the College of the Norwegian Defence University began with a meeting with the Chief of Staff of the College, Brigadier General Ole Anders Oie. During the meeting, the host gave a presentation to the representatives of the Academy about the Norwegian Defence University College, its quality assurance system, distance learning, academic course support, and the new Master's Program in Military Operations. The next day, the visit continued to the Norwegian War College.
During the visit, the 3rd joint distance learning international conference of the National Defence Academy and the Norwegian Defence University College was planned, which will be held in October of this year. Norwegian colleagues shared experiences about the college's international programs and identified new areas of cooperation.
During the visit, an important memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Defence Academy and the Norwegian Defence University. The rector of the academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, and the Chief of Staff of the College, Brigadier General Ole Anders Oie, signed the memorandum. Apart from official meetings, cultural events were also held. Academy representatives visited various cultural and historical sites of the host country during the visit.
