International Forum for Peace  Security  and Prosperity in Palermo  Italy

The Rector of the National Defence Academy of Georgia, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, and the Head of the G-5 Service of the Academy, Lt. Col. Kakhaber Kavlashvili, attended the 4th International Forum for Peace, Security, and Prosperity in Palermo, Italy. The forum focused on the impact of the modern tense situation, conflicts, and war on international institutions.

During the forum, three panels discussed various issues, including armed conflicts, peacekeeping operations, individual freedom, democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and the impact of disinformation on peace and security. Around 70 educational institutions and 20 international organizations participated in the event.

The educational institutions exchanged information during the forum, and they identified the directions for future cooperation. As a result, the National Defence Academy plans to involve the Junkers of the Academy in the forum from the following year.
