Defence Forces Day was held at the parade ground of the National Defence Academy
An event dedicated to Defence Forces Day was held at the parade ground of the National Defence Academy.
The Rector of the Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, addressed the staff of the Academy, future officers, and guests with a welcoming speech and congratulated them on Defence Forces Day.
"I want to congratulate you on Defence Forces Day and thank you for your service. I appreciate the work and efforts we all put in for the better future of our homeland and its progress. The leadership of the National Defence Academy is continuously focused on introducing innovations in all areas and creating better conditions for each of you. I want to salute our wounded and injured military personnel who sacrificed their health in the service of the motherland. I pay my respects to the fallen servicemen and express my deepest sympathies to their families.
I wish you success in the service of our country and once again, congratulations on Defence Forces Day!"
The Rector honorably dismissed Colonel David Razmadze and Ms. Mariam Gambashidze from the Academy and wished them success in their future endeavors.
During the event, servicemen and civilians of the Academy were awarded gifts, certificates of honor, and departmental medals.
