Today, an award ceremony was held for the personnel of the National Defence Academy at the parade ground. Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, the Rector of the Academy, presented “Junker” statuettes to the personnel in recognition of their significant contributions to the institutional development of the Academy, as well as their conscientious and high-quality performance of assigned duties.
By the Rector’s order, four military servicemen and six civilians received honorary certificates along with a personal gift from the Rector. Additionally, four Junkers and one candidate course student were honored with personal gifts for their exemplary discipline, outstanding academic achievements, and excellent physical training.
The event concluded with the honored cadets raising the national flag.
