Burial of Georgian Cadet, Private Soso Makaridze
Georgian Cadet, Private Soso Makaridze who died in the state of New Jersey as a result of a car accident was buried in Terjola region by military honor today.
Defence Minister of Georgia Mindia Janelidze attended the funeral ceremony and once more expressed his deepest condolences over the death of the Georgian cadet.
First Deputy Defence Minister Gocha Ratiani, Deputy Chiefs of General Staff of GAF, BG Vladimer Chachibaia and Colonel Roman Jokhadze, high-ranking officers of GAF as well as the leadership and Junkers of Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy attended the burial ceremony. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy delegation, led by Rear Admiral David R. Callahan, the Georgian and American friends of the Georgian students also arrived in Terjola region.
The funeral ceremony of Private Soso Makaridze began from Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral. He was buried in Terjola region with military honor. The Honor Guard paid a tribute to the memory of Georgian cadet by firing a salvo. Military orchestra performed the national anthem of Georgia as well.
