The National Defence Academy of Georgia hosted the one-week Lithuania-Georgia Joint Brigade level map exercise (MAPEX) in which NDA Command and Staff College Listeners along with the military personnel of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Moldova participated.
During the training participants discussed the brigade level defence and attack strategies, as well as the threats and challenges in the region and various strategic plans developed by the Georgian Armed Forces in response of these threats.
The purpose of the training was to increase Georgias compatibility with NATO, to deepen cooperation with NATO countries and to develop joint tactical/operational capabilities.
The Rector of NDA Colonel Zaza Japaridze and Lithuanian Defence Attaché, LTC Vytautas Rakauskas congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the course and awarded them relevant certificates.
