Main Functions

The functions of the service are:

a) To create suitable conditions for study, work, and scientific research at the Academy by utilizing information technologies.

b) To establish a unified computer network for the Academy, manage its systematic updates and expansions, ensure its security, and perform the necessary installation and software work for incorporating new users.

c) To collaborate with the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, the Georgian Defense Forces, and other relevant institutions to introduce innovations and enhance the existing information technology infrastructure.

d) To create the Academy’s Internet domain, establish subdomains, and ensure the proper functioning of the domain name server.

e) To develop a unified information space for the Academy and connect it to the global information network through modern information technologies.

f) To install standard software on the Academy’s computer equipment, address software issues, remove viruses, and modernize and repair computer equipment as necessary.

g) To prepare technical specifications for the acquisition of computer equipment by the Academy.

h) To organize computer classrooms and ensure their proper functioning.

i) To ensure the effective operation of various financial software programs.

j) To assist Academy personnel in preparing appropriate equipment for presentations.

k) To participate in the evaluation and implementation of warranty coverage for computer and network equipment.

l) To take part in the inventory process of the Academy's computer equipment.

m) To carry out any other functions as defined by legislation, these regulations, and individual administrative-legal acts from the Rector within the scope of competence.
