Main functions

The main functions of the service include:

a) Evaluating the Academy's educational and scientific research activities and developing recommendations for their improvement.

b) Preparing for the Academy's authorization and accreditation procedures.

c) Supporting the introduction of modern teaching and assessment methods.

d) Developing educational and scientific research processes, quality assurance mechanisms and procedures, and assessment rules, and preparing relevant recommendations and conclusions.

e) Collaborating with foreign higher education institutions, including relevant military higher education services, to establish transparent quality control criteria and methodologies.

f) Assessing the compliance of bachelor's, master's, and officer training educational programs implemented by the Academy with authorization and accreditation standards. This is done in cooperation with relevant Academy structures, responsible individuals, and stakeholders. It also involves developing and approving criteria and indicators for evaluating academic programs, monitoring the evaluation process, and preparing relevant conclusions and recommendations.

g) Developing recommendations and conclusions on measures to further improve educational programs.

h) Participating in creating questionnaires for academic faculty, visiting instructors, Junkers, and students. Based on the questionnaire analysis, recommendations will be developed and submitted to the rector of the Academy to enhance the Academy's activities.

i) Participating in the development of the procedure for filling out the diploma supplement - the state document confirming qualifications - and compiling and preparing the diploma supplements for graduates.

j) Organizing conferences, training sessions, seminars, and information meetings for the Academy's academic and administrative staff on current issues related to the Bologna process, curriculum development, authorization, and accreditation.

k) Leading the preparation of the Academy for authorization and accreditation procedures, including organizing the process of preparing the self-assessment questionnaire and report, along with the required documentation.

l) Exercising other powers as stipulated by legislation.

m) Providing technical support to academic staff in aligning educational programs with authorisation standards.

n) Reviewing written applications regarding credit recognition and developing relevant recommendations for the administration of faculties.

o) Developing an individual legal act that defines the functional activities of the Quality Assurance Service of the main educational units.

p) Coordinating activities with quality assurance experts from the main educational units to effectively exercise the Service's powers.
