Legal Division

Main functions

a) Participate in planning law-making activities at the Academy and its structural units.

b) Contribute to the development of draft legal acts and agreements that govern the activities of the Academy, as well as prepare memoranda.

c) Conduct legal reviews of draft legal acts prepared by the structural units of the Academy, prepare legal conclusions, and ensure their approval within the scope of competence.

d) Prepare proposals based on applicable legislation regarding the management and activities of the Academy.

e) Oversee and coordinate the formation, development, and improvement of the Academy's legal system.

f) Ensure that draft legal acts received from other administrative bodies are agreed upon with the Academy's structural units and undergo a legal review within the scope of competence.

g) Submit draft legal acts to the relevant state bodies as per the established procedure within the scope of competence.

h) Conduct legal reviews of draft legal acts uploaded to the electronic program provided by the Ministry and prepare appropriate notes and recommendations within the scope of competence.

i) Visa individual administrative-legal acts (orders) of the Rector and ensure their issuance according to the established procedure within the scope of competence.

j) Participate in commissions or working groups established at the Academy as needed.

k) Represent the Academy in courts at all levels and in dealings with state and private institutions to protect its interests.

l) Request materials and relevant information related to disputed cases.

m) Ensure the participation of representatives from relevant structural units of the Academy in court and administrative proceedings when necessary.

n) Implement and oversee proceedings regarding the imposition of disciplinary measures and the awarding of incentives to Academy employees.

o) Prepare and conduct legal training related to the personnel of the Academy and official activities within the scope of competence.

p) Review applications and correspondence from individuals and legal entities within the scope of competence and provide appropriate responses.

q) Perform tasks assigned by the Rector and the Deputy Rector-Chief of Staff.

r) Conduct meetings of the Academic Council of the Academy and prepare minutes and resolutions in accordance with their decisions.

s) Exercise other powers as provided by legislation within the scope of competence.
