10 Years Since the August War
Today, the NDA leadership and personnel visited the memorial of the Georgian military servicemen who died in village Shindisi during the Russian-Georgian war in August 2008. They observed the minute of silence to honour the memory of the fallen heroes. The participants of the NDA “Summer Camp” also paid the tribute to the fallen heroes. The fallen military servicemen were the members of the 2nd Infantry Brigade located in Senaki. They were killed while repelling a massive enemy attack.
The NDA Rector, Colonel Zaza Japaridze also attended the mass in honour of the fallen heroes at Gori Cathedral. After the mass the Metropolite of Gori and Atenti, Farther Andria gifted the icon to the Rector.
