NDA has a New Rector

David Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy has a new rector. Deputy Defence Minister Tamar Karosanidze and Deputy Chief of JS, Colonel Vladimer Chachibaia have introduced Zurab Agladze to officers and professor and tutors of the Academy today.

“Mr. Agladze is an experienced person. He will successfully cope with the task of making National Defence Academy one of the prestigious institutions.  The new NDA Rector’s vision coincides with the one of MoD . We want the National Defence Academy to help us in bringing up of educated and intelligent officers corps“, declared Tamar Karosanidze.

NDA new rector is a graduate of Georgian Military Academy. He got high military education in United States Army War College. In 2005-2006 Zurab Agladze studied at Command and General Staff College in the USA. He underwent several courses in the USA and Greece – Infantry Officers Basic Course, Rangers’ Training Course and Peacekeeping Operations Courses. 1998-2009 Lieutenant-Colonel Zurab Agladze served in the Georgian Armed Forces. In various years he was a Battalion Commander “Sachkhere”, Commander of V Infantry Brigade and Land Forces Commander. In 2007 Zurab Agladze was a Senior National representative in the headquarter of coalition forces in Baghdad, Iraq.
