National Defence Academy hosted the Exhibition on “Katyn Massacre”

Today, National Defence Academy hosted an opening ceremony of the exhibition on ’’Katyn Massacre’’ which was opened by Rector of the NDA Col. Zaza Japaridze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Georgia Mr. Mariusz Maszkiewicz and the Director of the Polish Army Museum Slawomir Pratchak.

 The exhibition is dedicated to the fate of the Polish victims of Soviet occupation in Katyn during World War II. The purpose of the exhibition is to show the essence of Katyn and its significance to Poland. 

 The exhibition will allow visitors to acquaint with the history of Katyn as well as personal stories of each fallen heroes.

 The exhibition will last till the end of January.

 Today, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Defence Academy and the Polish Army Museum.
