On April 15-18 of this year, trilateral meetings of the rectors of Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkey military academies were held, that was hosted by the Turkish Land Forces School in Ankara.
The leaders of Azerbaijan Military Academy named after Heydar Aliyev and Turkish Land Forces School were involved in the meetings. Within the framework of the official visit, Acting rector, Colonel Mamia Balakhadze, Head of the Training Battalion, LtC Giorgi Kobidze, Deputy Head of Quality Assurance Service, Mariam Darbaidze and Head of International Relations Division Nino Getsadze participated in the meetings.
During the meetings, military schools of each country delivered presentations about academic and military trainings, ongoing programs and physical fitness activities existing in the academy. Besides, each of them has made a brief summary of significant events that took place during the last year. Furthermore, the issues and directions of existing and future cooperation between these military schools were discussed. During the visit, the delegation of the Academy had an opportunity to meet the Georgian students studying at the Turkish Military Academy.
It is noteworthy that the trilateral format considerably improves military educational partnership linkages of Georgia with the two neighboring countries.
It is essential for NDA to organize workshops in such cooperative formats in terms of sharing foreign experience.
