Georgian Defence Forces joined by 93 lieutenants

The graduation ceremony of  Bachelor’s Programme and Officers` Training Candidate Course of National Defence Academy was marked at the drill ground of the NDA by a solemn ceremony. The 93 lieutenants swore the oath of allegiance.  Chief of Defence Forces General Lieutenant Vladimer Chachibaia congratulated the NDA students on the oath taking ceremony and wished the course graduates a successful military career. Advisor to Georgian President for Defence and Security Affairs Dimitri Lejhava presented  the text of congratulation by President. By the end of the event, the lieutenants were granted diplomas. The successful students were also awarded with service guns.  

This year, 74 cadets finished Academy and 19 cadets finished Officers`Candidate Course. From today, The course graduates, along with the rank of lieutenant, will be granted Bachelor`s Academic Degree in management, informatics, defence and security specialties.

The cadets were actively engaged in the Cadets Leadership Programme. Within the programme, they occupied different leadership positions, participated in international exchange programmes including in higher military institutions of the United States, Lithuania, Turkey, Hungary, Romania and Latvia.

During four years, the cadets took part in scientific and technical conferences, in students` days, in international regional exhibitions, in different sporting events, in intellectual games and TV projects.
