A New Academic Year Has Started at the National Defence Academy
The event dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year was celebrated on the parade ground of the David Agmashenebeli National Defense Academy of Georgia. The event was opened with the Georgian national anthem, after which the acting rector of the National Defense Academy, Colonel Mamia Balakhadze congratulated the Junkers and personnel of the Academy on their start of the academic year.
The Acting Rector of the Academy, Colonel Mamia Balakhadze, thanked the former Deputy Rector, Mr. Ramaz Kvaratskhelia, for his professionalism and outstanding service during his tenure at the Academy. The former commander of the training battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Giorgi Kobidze was also thanked for his special contribution to the training and development of Junkers during his service at the Academy and was awarded the honorary gift - the statuette "Junker".
Also today, the Academy Personnel Award Ceremony was held on the parade ground. The military servicemen and civilian staff of the Academy were awarded certificates of appreciation and departmental medals.
