The 30th Anniversary of the Defense Forces of Georgia was Celebrated at the Academy

Today, events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Defense Forces of Georgia were held at the National Defense Academy.

Within the framework of the events, the Deputy Rectors of the National Defense Academy, Colonel Davit Razmadze, and Colonel Imeda Gvritishvili laid a wreath at the memorial of the heroes who died in the battles for the territorial integrity of Georgia.

After the national anthem and a minute of silence, Colonel Imeda Gvritishvili, Deputy Rector - Chief of Staff, Mariam Gambashidze, Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Academy, Nino Gogilava, Junker, and Giorgi Gvenetadze, a student of the Officer Candidate School, addressed the Academy staff with a speech and congratulated on the anniversary of the Defence Forces.

Today, honorary diplomas were awarded to wounded military servicemen, as well as honorary diplomas and departmental medals were awarded to military servicemen and civilians of the Academy. By the order of the Rector of the Academy, 112 military servicemen and 61 civilians were awarded.

The event ended with a gala dinner held in full compliance with the regulations in the open space.
