Student Conference at the National Defence Academy

On October 22 of the current year, a student conference was organized by the Master's program of the National Defence Academy on the topic: "NATO - Georgia relationship in the context of national security - current challenges and development prospects," which was conducted online through the Zoom electronic platform.

The conference was opened by the Head of the Master's Program, Vice-Colonel Ioseb Japaridze, who thanked the participants for the interesting scientific articles presented. The conference was attended by professors of the Master's program and the Scientific Research Center.

The Junkers of the master's degree programs in Defence Analysis, public resource management and security studies, as well as students of various higher education institutions have made presentations on their own works.

Topics on the history of NATO - Georgia relations, current challenges and future prospects of cooperation with the Alliance were presented at the conference. The topics of the conference also included Georgia's interests towards the North Atlantic course, the problems of occupation of Georgian territories by Russia, the challenges in the process of seeking national security guarantees, the potential of Georgia for NATO membership and the importance of the process of state institution building and democratic development in terms of integration prospects of the country.

During the conference, the topics presented by the participants were shared with the audience and the conference was held in question-answer format.
