International Child Protection Day in the Academy
On International Child Protection Day, the Ministry of Defence hosted the children of the fallen heroes in the battles for the territorial integrity of Georgia, during international missions and the performance of official duties, at the National Defense Academy in Gori. The Defence Minister of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze and the Commander of the Defence Forces Major General Giorgi Matiashvili congratulated the children of the fallen heroes on June 1st and attended the sports and entertainment events held in connection with the mentioned day.
The children participated in sports competitions with the Junkers of the Academy. After the competition, gifts were given to the children of the fallen soldiers. After dinner, the children visited the simulation center located on the territory of the Defence Academy and attended virtual battle scenes. Adults also played table tennis, billiards and paintball.
