Opening of the Innovation and Technology Center at the Academy

The Innovation and Technology Center was opened at David Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia. The rector of the Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, along with other leaders, opened the center and talked to the Junkers about importance of this center.

The establishment of the mentioned center is due to modern technological challenges. It is becoming increasingly necessary to train such military personnel who will have the ability to cope with modern technological innovations.

The aim of the center is to develop the Junkers’ innovative thinking and complex-practical skills of using modern technologies. The Junkers of Mechanical Engineering, Informatics and other programs will have the opportunity to further deepen their knowledge in the academic field.

The center includes work spaces where mechanical, electronic and computer facilities are placed. Here, Junkers will be able to generate ideas, create projects, also have the opportunity to do computer modeling, programming, device construction, robotic systems assembly, experimenting, technology demonstration, presentations, and etc.

The center will be equipped with various necessary tools, such as: 3D printers, processing machines and others.
