An International Scientific-Practical Conference was Held in the Academy

An international scientific-practical conference was held at the National Defence Academy on October 25, the main topic of which was "NATO's priorities and the Caucasus - status quo and changes".

The first deputy rector of the National Defence Academy, Colonel Levan Kavtaradze, opened the conference and addressed the participants with a welcome speech. Colonel Giorgi Laghiashvili, head of the Scientific-Research Center of the Academy, introduced the conference participants to the guests.

Along with the leaders of the Academy, the conference was attended by the Rector of Azerbaijan National Defence University, Lieutenant General Heydar Firiev togeather with his accompanying persons as well as Professor Emrah Ozdemil of the National Defence University of the Republic of Turkey and Defence Attaché of Greece in Georgia, Col. Vasileios Lagogiannis.

Professors of various higher educational institutions of Georgia, as well as representatives of the defense academies of Turkey and Azerbaijan took part in the event.

The presentations of the conference were related to such topical issues as: "New directions of the security orbit in the South Caucasus", "Change of NATO's priorities and new security", "Analysis of strategic coefficients - 1949-2022", "Features of power and potential impact on NATO" and etc.

At the end of the conference, the first deputy rector of the National Defence Academy, Colonel Levan Kavtaradze, gave certificates to the participants.
