Tripartite meeting of rectors of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey military academies
On April 25-28 of this year, tripartite meetings of rectors of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey military academies were held, hosted by Heydar Aliyev Military Institute of Azerbaijan in Baku. Heads of the Turkish Military Academy and Heydar Aliyev Military Institute of Azerbaijan were represented at the meetings held in Azerbaijan; From the side of the Academy, within the framework of the official visit, the Rector of the Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, the head of the scientific-research center, Colonel Giorgi Laghiashvili and the head of the baccalaureate, Colonel Zurab Zerekidze, participated in the event.
At the meetings, the parties talked about the academic and military programs and ongoing training in the military academies, and also a brief summary of the important events held during the past year was made by each academy. In addition, issues and directions of current and future cooperation between the mentioned military schools were discussed.
It is worth noting the fact that the tripartite format further strengthens the partnership ties of Georgia with two neighboring countries in the field of military education. It is important for the Academy to hold workshops in similar cooperation formats in terms of sharing foreign experiences.
