The Defense Attaché of the Kingdom of Denmark, Colonel Jens Erik Hjort and his accompanying people visited the National Defence Academy of Georgia on 18 May. The delegation of the Kingdom of Denmark was hosted by the NDA leadership. It should be noted that the defense attaché of the kingdom of Denmark visited the NDA for the first time. The delegation had also held meetings at J-5 Strategic Planning Department, National Guard of Georgia and Training and Military Education Command.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the cooperation areas included in the bilateral cooperation plan of Georgia and the Kingdom of Denmark.
During the visit, the Danish delegation was introduced with information about NDA structure, academic programs and international relations by the NDA leadership. The parties discussed potential activities between Danish Royal Defence College and National Defence Academy of Georgia, including short-term exchange programs and support to scientific research work at NDA.
The Danish side expressed interest to participate in the Cadets’ International Week and Conferences organized by the NDA. The next visit of the Danish delegation is planned in June.
By the end of the visit, the guests had a tour around NDA territory and exchanged memorable gifts.
