Within the framework of exchange programs with foreign higher military educational institutions a fourth-year Junker of the Training Battalion of the LEPL David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia, Mariam Mukbaniani participated in the international student week at the Royal College of Canada.
The event included both academic and military components. The participants were required to make presentations on the training programs, infrastructure, daily schedule, and outstanding traditions of their academies. During the student symposium, they discussed and informed the audience about the future security problems and challenges of their countries.
In addition to the academic part, the program also included military field training. The participants had the opportunity to train with Canadian cadets and practically implement all their military training activities, such as the leadership program, obstacle course, landing from a height, transmitting information through the radio station, navigation, setting up a patrol base, etc.
Such student weeks provide an opportunity for students to learn about each other's cultures, traditions, academies, and teaching methods. As future leaders, they can form friendly relationships that will be very useful not only for the academies they represent but also for relations between their countries.
