NATO Conference of Commandants

The Rector of the National Defence Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, and the Head of the G-5 Service of the Academy, Lt. Col. Kakhaber Kavlashvili, attended the "53rd NATO Conference of Commandants" held annually by the NATO Defense College.

This year, the conference took place in Washington, USA, at the National Defence University and was attended by heads of higher military educational institutions from 49 NATO members and partner countries. The theme of the conference was "Developing leadership for the next 75 years of the Alliance".

 The activities included keynote reports, panel discussions, syndicated sessions on national security leadership development, sharing experiences, and identifying opportunities for enhanced collaboration through various educational programs. The Conference of Commandants is an annual event of the NATO Defense College, with a history dating back to 1972, and is the most important event for cooperation in strategic education.
