A ceremonial event celebrating Sergeant Corps Day was held at the National Defence Academy. Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, the Rector of the Academy, extended his congratulations to the sergeants of the Academy on their professional day.

During his address, the Rector emphasized the significant role of a sergeant in the Defence Forces and discussed future plans for the development of the Sergeant Corps. He expressed gratitude to the sergeants for their contributions to the construction of the Defence Forces, their professionalism, and unwavering dedication, while also wishing them continued success. Along with the sergeants of the Academy, the heads of the structural units also attended the event.

As part of the professional day, outstanding sergeants were honored with firearms, departmental medals, and commemorative gifts in recognition of their exemplary professionalism in carrying out their duties.
