the third international distance learning conference

LEPL - David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia and Norwegian Defence University College (NDUC) held the third international distance learning conference in a hybrid format on October 16-17, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Tbilisi. The conference focused on the topic "Challenges and Future of Distance Learning" and was attended by representatives from ten countries, including individuals employed in the Ministry of Defence of Georgia. The conference was opened by Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, the Rector of the National Defence Academy, who addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.

Brigadier General Ole Anders Oye, representing the Norwegian Defence University College, and Major General Staiko Prokopiev, the Rector of the Rakovski National Defence College, were among the attendees. Key issues discussed at the conference included motivation, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and new technologies in the context of distance learning.

The participants shared their experiences, ideas, and innovative approaches to distance learning, and also discussed plans for future cooperation.
