The first-year Junkers of the National Defence Academy underwent a comprehensive five-week Basic Combat Training course, which included both theoretical and practical training. This course is designed to transform newly recruited civilians into effective military personnel. Throughout the program, the Junkers developed essential skills required to become military officers. They studied the principles of conduct, relationships with superiors and peers, and became familiar with the disciplinary regulations and academic environment of the Academy.

Upon successfully completing the course, the Junkers will proceed to their undergraduate academic studies at the Academy.
