The delegation representing the David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia, under the leadership of Colonel Zurab Zerekidze, the Deputy Rector of the Academy, recently conducted an official visit to the National Defence University of Azerbaijan to engage in collaborative discussions.
During the visit, a meeting took place with Major General Arif Hasanov, the Deputy Rector of the Azerbaijan National Defence University. Hasanov provided an overview of the University’s history, educational system, and the reforms implemented in military education. The discussion also covered the potential for bilateral cooperation in military education.
During their working visit, the delegation from the Academy toured the Jamshid Nakhchivansky Military Lyceum and the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The heads of these military educational institutions received the delegation. Both parties made introductory presentations and discussed their military-academic activities during the meetings.
The format of these meetings enhances the partnerships between Georgia and its neighboring countries in military education. It is crucial for the Academy to conduct working meetings in this collaborative format to facilitate the sharing of experiences
