An award ceremony for personnel at the Academy was held on the parade ground

Today, an award ceremony for personnel at the National Defence Academy was held on the parade ground.

In his speech, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, the Rector of the Academy, announced the commencement of the Ninth International Cadet Week. This event features 65 participants from 16 different partner educational institutions. The Rector emphasized the significance of this event, describing it as a unique platform for exchange programs, learning, and cooperation. It plays a crucial role in strengthening professional ties between Georgian Junkers and their international peers.

The Rector also introduced another innovation at the Academy regarding scholarship increases. The basic scholarship for the Junkers in their first to third years has been set at 500 GEL, while fourth-year Junkers will receive 1,320 GEL.

In acknowledgment of contributions to the institutional development of the Academy and for their conscientious and high-quality performance of duties, several members of the personnel were awarded valuable gifts, including a personal gift from the Rector and a certificate of honor. Specifically, one military serviceman, four Junkers, and five civilians received these honors, while another military serviceman was promoted to a higher rank.
