An event dedicated to Defense Forces Day was held at the National Defence Academy. During the event, the Rector of the Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, addressed the personnel and congratulated them on the occasion:
"I would like to congratulate you all on Defence Forces Day and express my gratitude for your service. Thank you for the hard work and dedication that we all put forth together towards a brighter future for our homeland and its unification.
The leadership of the National Defence Academy is committed to introducing innovations in all areas and creating better conditions for each of you.
I extend my greetings to our wounded and injured military personnel who have sacrificed their health in service to our country. I honor the memory of our fallen service members and express my deepest respect to their families.
I wish you success in serving our nation, and once again, congratulations on Defence Forces Day!"
In recognition of their contributions to the Academy's institutional development and their diligent performance of assigned duties, two military servicemen were awarded firearms, six servicemen received prizes, and two civilians were honored with the "Junker" statuette. Additionally, ten military servicemen were awarded the "Certificate of Honor" by order of the Rector for their conscientious and high-quality performance of their duties.
