Practical military training component
As part of the practical military training component, Candidate Course students from the Junior Officer Training School and fourth-year Junkers of the Training Battalion of the David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy conducted winter tactical training under challenging meteorological conditions in Samtskhe-Javakheti, near Akhalkalaki.
The exercise focused on the tactical operations of infantry squads and platoons in harsh winter climates. In high-altitude and rugged terrain, participants practiced survival techniques, including constructing snow shelters and movement tactics, while also enhancing their marksmanship skills in mountainous environments.
Winter field exercises are essential for the professional development of future commanders, enabling them to effectively plan and execute combat missions in high-altitude zones and extreme climatic conditions.
