Graduation of Military Police Training Course

18 qualified military policemen joined Military Police Department of the Georgian Armed Forces. National Defence Academy hosted the course graduation ceremony today.

First Deputy Chief of General Staff of the GAF, Brigadier General Vladimer Chachibaia and Head of MP Department, Colonel Kakhaber Chikhradze congratulated the Military Police personnel on the course graduation. They granted the policemen the relevant certificates and wished them success in their future career. NDA Rector Zurab Agladze and MIA Rector, Senior Lieutenant Nukri Gelashvili attended the ceremony.

Military policemen underwent the professional training course in order to raise professional qualification for the first time. The course was held within the framework of the reforms underway in Military Police Department. The representatives of National Defence Academy and Academy of Ministry of Internal Affairs elaborated the course curriculum jointly. 

Four months course included theoretical and practical trainings into two stages. Instructors of National Defence Academy delivered lectures on military educational field to the MP personnel at Algeti training base. Professors and lecturers of MIA Academy taught them police educational programs and legal studies at MIA Academy.

The participants mastered in the basic principles of tactical activities of squad level subunits and infantry marksmanship group. They also get acquainted to the human rights and police ethic code, regulation spheres of administrative punishment code, main principles of criminal law and their meaning, tasks of operative search operations and issues haw to use the relevant norms of criminal law.
