UK Defence Academy CGS Course at the NDA
Today, the Rector of NDA, Colonel Irakli Gegechkori and the General Director, Vice-Admiral Duncan Post signed the Memorandum of Understanding between National Defence Academy of Georgia and the UK Defence Academy.
The Listeners of CGS Course of UK Defence Academy also visited NDA. In the framework of the visit, First Deputy State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and Ambassador at Large, Mr. Irakli Giviashvili provided the guests with the full information regarding the Russian-Georgian War and Abkhazian Conflict. They emphasized on the Peace Policy of Georgia, Reintegration and the trust restoration process.
The representative of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Mr. Hy Shelow shared his experience with the course listeners regarding the existing conflicts in Georgia. NDA Command and Staff School Instructor, Lieutenant-Colonel Giorgi Kalichava delivered the presentation to the guests regarding 2008 Russian-Georgian war.
The listeners also had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the NDA history, structure, existing military and civilian schools and the future plans of NDA.
