Today, at the National Defence Academy was held the closing ceremony of “Gender Training of Trainers”. 13 representatives of different countries participated in the regional training.
The purpose of the training is to prepare trainers, who will deliver trainings on gender topic in their countries, in the framework of their existing National Action Plans, for the Defence Sector representatives.
In the framework of the 10 days training, the participants familiarized themselves with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions, NATO Bi-SC Directive 40-1, Gender Violence during armed conflict and gender mainstreaming in peacekeeping operations and Defence sector preforms.
Commandant of NDA, Lieutenant-Colonel Vasil Kopeikini congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the course. The Commander of Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations, Lieutenant-Colonel Jan Dunmurray handed over the certificated to the participants.
