The Graduation of the Captain Career School Courses

National Defence Academy hosted the second graduation of 2015 of the Captain Career School Courses and the 10 year anniversary of the Infantry Captain Career Course.  

Deputy Defence Minister, Ms. Ana Dolidze and the First Deputy Chief of Staff, Colonel Omar Begoidze addressed the graduates and wished them success.

“Captain Career School has a very important place in the military educational system. 104 educated and better trained officers joined the GAF. Today, the Captain Career School is also celebrating its 10 year anniversary. Setting up this institution was very important and successful step in the military educational system. Before the Captain Career School there was only Basic Officer Course and after establishing Captain Career School we also established the Command and General Staff School. Today our Officers have an opportunity to receive education fitting to NATO Standards” – stated Colonel Omar Begoidze.

104 Officer have successful completed difference Captain Career Courses including one Officer from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Graduates were awarded with certificates.

Trainings and Military Education Commander, Colonel Levan Beria and other high rank military personnel attended the ceremony.

Infantry Captain Career Course was established in 2004 by the support of the U.S. military instructors and advisers. The first Course was implemented in 2005, January 17.

Today the School includes 9 courses, such as Manoeuvre, Artillery, Engineering, Logistics, Personnel, Intelligence, Signal, Aviation and Air Defence Captain Career Courses.

Captain Career School provides the middle level education for Officers and enables them to receive tactical level education. More than 2000 military personnel have graduated the Captain Career School.
