Open Doors Day

Students of the public schools have visited Davit Agmashenebeli National defence Academy. By the initiative of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, National Defemce Academy hosted around 80 teenagers from the Gori-based public schools #3 and #4. Students had an opportunity to see infrastructure of the renewed military academy, met with the listeners of the first course and got familiar with the conditions of exhamination procedures, teaching program and local way of life. During special exhibition, young guests received information about armament and have got the answers to their questions from the military-servicemen. At the end, soldiers invited students to have dinner with them and afterwards handed presents and souvenirs to them. High-school pupil from the public schools of Georgia will have an opportunity in the future to visit National Defence Academy step-by-step. 

The Building of the renewed National Defence Academy includes accommodation buildings, canteen, conference hall, recreation center, gymnasium, swimming pool, open and closed type sport grounds, educational buildings, library, medical centre and administrative building. The Academy provides students with material and technical base of international standards, accommodation, adequate nutrition, uniforms and medical service. The Academy graduate is awarded with the Bachelor’s Degree and military rank of Lieutenant.

Education at the Academy is fully financed by the Ministry of Defence of Georgia.
