Project “Live Books”
Today, in the framework of the literary-educational project “Live Books” famous Georgian poets and writers visited the National Defence Academy. Batu Danelia, Dato Turashvili, Besarion Solomonashvili, Beso Khvedelidze, Lela Tsutskiridze, Manon Buliskeria and Mariam Tsiklauri met with the NDA Junkers and introduced to them their work.
The Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Mrs. Ketevan Dumbadze also attended the meeting.
Meeting with the poets and writers found great interest among Junkers. Future Officers spent around two hours listening to poems and stories. Third year Junker of the Junkers’ Battalion also had an opportunity to share his work with the guests.
After the meeting the guests gifted to the Academy the works of various authors and the books published within this project.
The project “Alive Books in the Army” is carried out under the memorandum signed between the Ministry of Defence of Georgia and the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
