The Start of the Academic Year at the National Defence Academy

Today, the new 2017-2018 academic year started at the National Defence Academy.

After successful completion of national exams and Academy’s internal qualification tests, 72 Junkers enrolled on the NDA Bachelor programmes. Currently, first year Junkers are undergoing 4 weeks Basic Combat Training (BCT) Course and after the completion of the course Junkers will start their classes.

The Rector of NDA, Col Zaza Japaridze, Acting Deputy Rector, Ms. Nino Jojua, Head of Baccalaureate, professor Manana Maghradze and honorary BA Junker, Private Tengiz Licheli congratulated to the Junkers on the start of the academic year.

After the completion of four-year Bachelor programmes, Junkers will receive Bachelor’s Degree and first rank of an officer “Lieutenant”. Afterwards they will continue their studies at the specialisation courses.

Additionally, as a part of the ceremony, the Academy staff members were awarded with medals and honorary certificates.
