Today, Urmas Reinsalu has arrived at the National Defence Academy. Rector Goga Kveladze hosted Estonian delegation. He showed the visitors Academy infrastructure and got them familiar with educational process.
Mr. Reinsalu met with students and delivered a lecture on “Estonian Experience with NATO: From partnership to membership”. The meeting went on in an interactive format.
The Academy Rector briefed Estonian Defence Minister on the reforms implemented in the military educational system. The sides talked on the future cooperation plans in the field of military education. In this area Georgia and Estonia have been cooperating for many years. In the Baltic Defence College in Estonia the Georgian officers are getting education. As for the Estonian military they are allowed to undergo training in the PfP Sachkhere Mountain Training School.
Mr. Reinsalu is staying in Georgia on a two day official visit. Within the visit, he met with his Georgian colleague Dimitri Shashkini. Ministers signed Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing bilateral cooperation.
