NATO Programs

The National Defense Academy cooperates closely with NATO's Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP). Through the sharing of experience and the organizing various courses or trainings, the NATO program supports the National Defense Academy in developing undergraduate and graduate programs/curricula, teacher training, student assessment, and teaching methodology. An action plan has been signed between the Academy and the DEEP, which is updated annually, based on the priorities and needs of the Academy.

The Academy also cooperates with the Bureau of International Language Co-ordination (BILC) of NATO, which supports the teaching of English language at the Academy, the introduction of modern methodologies in the teaching process and the evaluation process. Under this program, English language teachers of the Baccalaureate and Language Training School of the Academy attend courses abroad on English language teaching methodology several times a year.
