David Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy has a new rector. Deputy Defence Minister Tamar Karosanidze and Deputy Chief of JS, Colonel Vladimer Chachibaia have introduced Zurab Agladze to officers and professor and tutors of the Academy today.

NDA Instructors Underwent Training for Trainers

The instructors of Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy underwent the courses “Train the Trainers”. Deputy Defence Minister Tamar Karosanidze awarded thirty-three graduates with the relevant certificates. “The purpose of the training was to improve the quality of tuition at the Defence Academy.  The instructors learned how to plan curriculum, how to prepare for lectures and how to conduct training courses, how to be more interactive, to provide more information to the students and how to engage the students”, stated Tamar Karosanidze.

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Visits NDA

Today U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Norland has visited Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy. Richard Norland held meetings with Deputy Defence Minister Tamar Karosanidze and the leadership of the Academy. NDA Commandant LTC Nikoloz Agladze delivered the presentation for U.S. Ambassador on the structure of the military educational institution, its curriculum and programs.

Georgian Prime Minister visits National Defence Academy

Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili has met with the students of Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy today. Prime Minister congratulated the students on the religious holiday “Nikolozoba” and briefed them on the planned defence and security reforms. While addressing the audience, Mr. Ivanishvili talked on the importance of military education and priority directions.
