The delegation of France National Defence Institute composed of 37 attendees visited National Defence Academy in Gory city. The delegation members met with Academy Rector Andro Barnovi and representatives of Command and General Staff Schools. Throughout the meeting Mr. Barnovi briefed on the military education system. The sides also focused on perspectives of future cooperation.

Memorial of Junkers who had fallen in fight for independence of Georgia was decorated with wreath. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Veterans Affairs Department of Defence Ministry, military servicemen and Cadets Military Lyceum and National Defence Academy students.

Celeste A. Wallander, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia is paying an official visit to Georgia. An American official met with the Georgian president Mikheil Saakasvili. The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia. During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of mutual relations of the US and Georgia and discussed prospects of deepening cooperation. 

A NATO Corner has been opened at the Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy. The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze, representatives from the Information Center on NATO and Academy students. The Center employees donated the new literature on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to the Academy library.
