Davit Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy hosted the art work exhibition of Andro Kandelaki. The exhibition was dedicated to the 68thanniversary of victory over Fascism in World War II.
The Paintings and caricatures of artist Andro Kandelaki are unique, because they were created directly on the battlefield, describing the chronology of the World War. Pictures are mostly done in pencil, Indian ink, water-colour and gouache. Academician Iuri Kandelaki, the son of an artist also attended an exhibition.
In 1965 Andro Kandelaki was awarded with the title of Honored Artist; and a collection of his paintings, "The Artists Smile" was published for his 60thanniversary.
