A room named after Donald Rumsfeld was opened at the academy

A room named after Donald Rumsfeld has been opened at the David Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia Grigol Giorgadze, the Deputy Commander of the Defence Forces, Major General Zaza Chkhaidze, the Deputy Ambassador of the United States of America Ryan Harker Harris and Rumsfeld Fellows. The guests were hosted by the Rector of the Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze.

The Rector thanked the representatives of the Ministry of Defense and Kamka Network for their support in initiating and implementing the project. The General noted that the Rumsfeld Scholarship is an additional motivator for Junkers to improve the quality of their academic knowledge. At the initiative of Georgian representation of Kamka Network, the successful Junkers of the Academy receive Donald Rumsfeld Scholarship every month.

The initiators of the opening of the Donald Rumsfeld Room are the Georgian representatives of Kamka Network - Tamar Kekenadze, the head of the Network and Nino Zambakhidze, the President of the Georgian Farmers' Association, who are Donald Rumsfeld Fellows.
