A winter field exercise

A winter field exercise was conducted for the students of the Candidate Course of the National Defence Academy and fourth-year Junkers in Samtskhe-Javakheti, near Akhalkalaki.

The exercise focused on tactical operations of squad and platoon-sized infantry units in challenging winter conditions. It aimed to develop the participants' self-survival skills while navigating difficult terrain in high mountainous areas. During the exercise, the Junkers and trainees learned about constructing snow-covered shelters, effective movement techniques, and enhancing their shooting skills in adverse climatic conditions.

Such field exercises are crucial for future commanders, as they provide essential experience for planning and executing combat missions in difficult winter environments in high mountains.
