Voluntary Junior Reserve Officer Military Training Programme

LEPL - David Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia has commenced the admission process for the Voluntary Junior Reserve Officer Military Training Programme. The application window is open from 5 May to 26 August 2026.

Citizens of Georgia may enrol in the programme on a voluntary basis, without being granted military personnel status, provided they meet the following criteria:

·         Are under 30 years of age;

·         Are proficient in the state language;

·         Hold active student status, specifically in the 3rd or 4th year of a four-year bachelor's programme, or the 2nd or 3rd year of a three-year bachelor's programme at an authorised higher education institution;Hold a bachelor's academic degree;

·         Are military personnel holding the rank of private, corporal, or sergeant, under 30 years of age, who are either enrolled at an authorised higher education institution (excluding students in semesters I–IV of a four-year bachelor's programme and semesters I–II of a three-year bachelor's programme) or possess a bachelor's academic degree.

The training process will be conducted at the National Defence Academy over a duration of 2 years.

Upon successful completion of the programme, individuals subject to military obligation will be deemed to have fulfilled their compulsory national military service.

The selection of candidates for enrolment in the programme shall be managed by the Candidate Admissions Commission. Selection will be based on the following criteria:

·         Passing the physical fitness assessment standards;

·         Undergoing a psychological evaluation;

·         Undergoing a medical examination;

·         Passing a background check (special screening).

The submission of applications for the military training programme is currently underway at the National Defence Academy of Georgia, located in the city of Gori.

For the 2026–2028 academic cycle, the training process for the Voluntary Junior Reserve Officer Military Training Programme will commence on 31 August 2026.
